Fable: The Journey gets a launch trailer

Fable: The Journey has finally made its way onto store shelves, and with it an all new launch trailer.

While the game won't be out in Europe until Friday, North Americans can head over to their favorite retailer and enjoy it today.

"It's not on rails!" How we remember those words, and being ushered to the wall of Microsoft's E3 booth to sign to attest that, according to what we'd been told by Peter Molyneux, we understood Fable: The Journey wasn't. It was a bizarre moment, a personal highlight of the show - but what playing the final version of the game has shown me is that the rails don't really matter.

Fable: The Journey demo hits Xbox Live next month

Fable: The Journey will see its own demo come September 17th, just under a month before the game releases in full.

Microsoft has also provided a new video doc talking about the game's narrative focus, which can be viewed below.

It'a been a bit since we last heard anything on Lionhead's Fable: The Journey. The Kinect only game has been in hiding since around E3 of last year.

With Microsoft's Spring Showcase last week, the veil has been lifted. Fable: The Journey is set to release on September 4, 2012 if an Xbox.com listing is to be believed.
