Monster Hunter Rise - Switch Axe and Great Sword gameplay trailers

Capcom has resumed publishing weapon gameplay trailers for Monster Hunter Rise after a short break over the weekend. The two weapons that get the spotlights today are Switch Axe and Great Sword.

Previously, Capcom published trailers for the Dual Blades, Bow, Lance, Long Sword, Light & Heavy Bowguns, Hammer, Sword & Shield, Gunlance, and Insect Glaive. Today's trailers mean there are 12 out of 14 weapons accounted for. Unless something unordinary happens, tomorrow should see the trailers for the final 2 weapons: Charge Blade and Hunting Horn.

Switch Axe

Mighty, transformative force. The Switch Axe boasts advanced technology to deliver multiple options:
Axe form - fluid motion and hefty hits.
Sword form - quick powered-up strikes.
Phial effects activated by the sword now also persist in axe form.
"Invincible Gambit" is a silkbind attack that fortifies the hunter, making them immune to flinching or being knocked back by even the fiercest of attacks.

Great Sword

Overwhelming, devastating power. The Great Sword delivers meaty chops with incredible force. Charge its attacks for even more damage! "Power Sheathe" is a silkbind attack comprised of a quick Wirebug-assisted dash and a sheathing motion that boosts your attack for a short time.

Monster Hunter Rise will be released for Nintendo Switch simultaneously worldwide on March 26. A free demo will also be available next month.
