Rumor: Phantasy Star Coming to PlayStation Vita

Posted on July 7, 2011 by Erren Van Duine
Rumor has it that the next entry in the Phantasy Star Portable line has shifted from PSP to Sony's new handheld, PlayStation Vita.

SEGA developer and Sonic Team member Kenichi Tanase mentioned the title on Twitter, mentioning the name Phantasy Star Victory.

SEGA previously suggested that a third PSP Phantasy Star game would see the light of day - it might be possible that this project has replaced that.

When first announced SEGA made a big deal out of the fact that Phantasy Star Portable, for the PSP, abbreviated to PSP itself. If Phantasy Star Victory is PSV, there's a good chance that's a hint that this title will be seen announced soon for Sony's Playstation Vita machine, the successor to the PSP.

Nothing has been confirmed as of yet, but we do know that Sega currently has 5 titles in development for the PS Vita. This could possibly be one of them if rumors are believed to be true. We'll be sure to keep you updated when we have more information. In the meantime, perhaps we might hear something is Tokyo Game Show in September.

Just a comment. Those grcahips are not from Eternal Hunters, but from Portable 2 Infinity. By playing EH, you can get a code to put in your P2I, and you get that huge sword you have in those screenshots.
