GC Twilight Princess Avaliable in Normal Ways in UK

Recent rumours sparked by the disappearance of Twilight Princess from various videogames websites have whipped the internet into an anti Nintendo frenzy, but we have a message from Nintendo of Europe: Calm Down!

When we called and asked them about the status of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for the Gamecube, we were informed that it would be avaliable "through all the normal channels in the UK," presumably meaning that the game will be in high street stores and not an online exclusive.

When asked if they knew anything about the plans for the game's US release, we were told "We've heard nothing about any cancelation or exclusivity. I can't say for sure, but I'd say it's a safe bet to assume the US will be doing the same as us - a full release, though it will be printed in smaller numbers than the Wii version."

Well, there's the official word from Nintendo of Europe. With luck, they're dead on about the US release and Gamecube owners will be able to play Link's latest adventure without having to scour the internet or import to get it. Current speculation suggests it could just be individual stores deciding not to stock the Gamecube version of the game.
