Wada: Dragon Quest series won't be "all online"

Posted on September 27, 2011 by Alex Donaldson
Square Enix boss-man and CEO Yoichi Wada has revealed that Dragon Quest X: Rise of the Five Tribes Online is one of many different approaches to the series, and online is merely one of many different planned approaches.

Wada was asked if Dragon Quest X's online status meant that the company would move away from the traditional style of the series at a press conference today.

"We're not making them all online," Wada explained, words that will be music to the ears of many Dragon Quest series fans. "We'll continue with a variety of developments, online included."

That's that, then. Dragon Quest X, though, is thoroughly online. It's been a busy couple of weeks for news on the game, and you can find the first screenshots, first trailer and in-depth information on the game on the site now.
