Cosmic Star Heroine coming to PS4 and Vita

The latest project from two-person developer Zeboyd Games, creators of Breath of Death VII and Cthulhu Saves the World, have announced that their sci-fi retro RPG Cosmic Star Heroine will be arriving on both the Playstation 4 and the Playstation Vita sometime next year when the game launches. In the meantime, they have also posted the opening video, inspired by the Sega CD era (getting a real Lunar: The Silver Star vibe from it).

The star of the story is Alyssa L'Salle, a legendary agent who is outed by the government she works for after uncovering a dark secret. Now she is beloved across the galaxy for her heroic deeds, but now that her identity is known, everyone she has ever crossed with is out to get her. Expect a wide cast of characters like in the developer's previous titles to keep the game entertaining and humorous.

It certainly feels like Zeboyd Games is really making something that they have always wanted to more than ever with a bigger budget amassed from their previous works. As an aside, they are planning on launching a Kickstarter in the coming weeks to help get their game off the ground, so look out for that.
