Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn gets shown off on PlayStation 4

With the anticipated beta release of the PlayStation 4 version of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn nearly upon us (its due on February 22nd), Square-Enix have popped out a trailer showing the game running on Sony's sexy chunk of gaming hardware, alongside an exposition of the PS4-specific features fans can expect.

As well as the upgrade to eye-stroking 1080p visuals and a much smoother framerate, the PlayStation 4 version of the reinvigorated MMORPG also boasts full mouse and keyboard support, game share functionality and full Remote Play compatibility.

Don't forget, if you own the PlayStation 3 version of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, you can upgrade to the shiny new PlayStation 4 version of the game for absolutely nothing, but aware; once you've upgraded your account, you won't be able to go back and use that account with the PlayStation 3 version of the game.

The PlayStation 4 version of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is set to arrive sometime in April.

In the meantime, feast your peepers on that new trailer below and let us know what you think in the comments!
