German and French versions of Final Fantasy XI

Posted on August 1, 2006 by RPG Site Staff
At the Games Convention Leipzig 2006, attendees will get an exclusive chance to play the localized versions of Final Fantasy XI.

The convention lasts from August 23 to 27th, with the FFXI Arena in Hall 5. People will get a chance to play the German and French versions of FFXI, available for the PC, PS2, and XBox 360.

This is unique, as FFXI is the first MMORPG to extend over three platforms, and the first MMORPG on the Xbox 360. Not only are MMORPGs becoming more diversified in mediums available, but also in languages. FFXI can be played in Japanese, English, French and German, allowing it to appeal to wider audiences, who can play together online.

Also at the convention, players will be able to meet the development team and join in various competitions on and offline. In Vana'diel, there will be new quests for prizes, and at the convention, there will be a Final Fantasy Costume Contest on August 2006.

/ :B I'm so excited. I LOVE THE LOOK OF THIS COMBAT SYSTEM AHH! Although I rteneesd FFX-2, I really enjoyed the easy-flow of combat and same goes for how this looks.(Although I wish the background music wasn't so loud. I couldn't hear the dialogue)And that the Cid in this game looks pretty cool. And the new Sephiroth-like villain is pretty hot. Oh geez, there I go.From what I can see so far, I think I really like the comradery they all seem to have with each other. Y'know how in most games, it's always the lone wolf and how you're alienated or everyone's a stranger and they kind of get along 'cause of their own plans? That's why I always liked FF7, because those characters really toughed it out and cared for one another once they had the same goal.
