Spider-Man in Kingdom Hearts: Now a possibility

With today's news that Disney have acquired Marvel Entertainment for a whopping 4 billion US dollars, there's a number of interesting new possibilities for gamers thanks to the deal.

We'll see Disney Interactive undoubtedly expand as they take over games for heroes like X-Men and Spider-Man, but here at RPGSite we saw one big, exciting possibility the moment the deal was announced: Marvel Universe Characters in Kingdom Hearts.

Kingdom Hearts as a series traditionally sees original character Sora join forces with various Disney characters in worlds themed on different movies and cartoons ranging from Alice in Wonderland to Pirates of the Carribean, with Final Fantasy characters such as Cloud and Squall filling out the cast.

Disney's acquiring of Marvel opens up a big chance for Square Enix to exploit these properties in upcoming Kingdom Hearts titles. Series boss Tetsuya Nomura revealed this month that Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep features a secret unlockable movie that teases the next game in the series.

    No. They won't put in Marvel characters. They don't even have Disney Pixar movies, so why suddenly add something that is new to Disney? They would put Toy Story and Monster's Inc. before anMArvel worlds.

    Wow really...? MARVEL CHARACTERS, Whats next HALO XD! Well I can only think of.... Spiderman, Batman, Ironman, OR Hulk (I doubt about Hulk)

    Spider Man for sure as long as they don't make him GAY (aka down-grade). And Silver Surfer would be cool too (given they don't make him GAY either), but he is probably far too strong for any crossover anime-rpg game.

    Spiderman's the only one [in my head] that doesn't look completely out of place next to Sora and co. So yeah, him. [Since I'll never get my Gargoyles in KH, it seems...]

    Spiderman would be in it, of course. Thor would also fit into the Kingdom Hearts universe pretty good.
