Atlus announces Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final for Nintendo 3DS

Late yesterday, Atlus' official website for Shin Megami Tensei IV was updated with a twitter campaign notice. The goal was if the campaign reached 15,000 tweets, there would be a new announcement revealed. Well the goal has been met, and the news is a new game called Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final. While the title might imply a remix or remake of 2013's Shin Megami Tensei IV, this is instead a brand new game set in the same universe.

The game will be released in February 2016 in Japan for the 3DS. It will also be directed by Satoshi Oyama, chief programmer of Shin Megami Tensei IV. Other notable names attached to the project are producer Kazuki Yamai, SMT IV character designer Masashi Doi, composer Ryotoa Kozuka, and Kazuma Kaneko as 'series monster designer' and world setting planner.

That's about all we know of SMT IV: Final right now, but on October 11 there will be a NicoNico livestream that will reveal more details on the game. Thanks to Siliconera for the detailed breakdown.
