Danganronpa V3 blocks PS4 sharing from its second chapter on

Danganronpa V3 publisher Spike Chunsoft has announced that it's going to keep PlayStation 4 share function usage on lockdown for the release of Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony.

The move comes in the name of preventing spoilers from getting out, of course, and manifests itself in the game in the form of a blanket ban on usage of the PS4 share function as soon as you enter the second chapter of the game.

Outright circumventing and blocking a system-level feature for the majority of the game content is an interesting choice, but in this spoiler-laden world it's easy to understand why they've made this choice.

A further statement on the website for Killing Harmony (via Gematsu) also asks Japanese players to have restraint in what they share from the game otherwise, even with the share feature disabled. It's basically a very polite plea for calm. Which is fair.

The game is out in Japan in a matter of days on January 12th - there's even a demo out now. It's set to arrive in the West at some point this year, but currently we don't know when.
