Mass Effect 2 PS3 dated for January, includes DLC

EA and Bioware have confirmed the final release date for Mass Effect 2 on the Playstation 3 and disclosed information on what the PS3 release of the game will include.

Speaking to the folks over at IGN, EA confirmed a January 21st release date in Europe and a January 18th release date for North America. The game will feature all the DLC releazed for the game's Xbox 360 version including the fantastic Lair of the Shadow Broker. There's a slight catch - in order to access the Zaeed and Firewalker missions you'll have to enter your Cerberus Network code, which only comes with new copies of the game.

Because the original Mass Effect was published by Microsoft, that can't get a PS3 release. Instead, the PS3 version of Mass Effect 2 will include an "interactive comic" that allows fans to see the events of Mass Effect 1 and pick up and make major decisions from the first game.
