Final Fantasy Type-0 is Final Fantasy Agito XIII

Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy Agito XIII is no more - it has been renamed to Final Fantasy Type 0. The PSP title is still part of Fabula Nova Crystallis, but has been renamed to better reflect the style of the game.

Speaking on why the game has changed names, director Hajime Tabata explained that Type-0 didn't feel like a Final Fantasy XIII title as it didn't have enough in common with the mythos laid out by the original FF13 - so they made the decision to change the name.

The game was also confirmed for a Summer 2011 release in Japan, had a massive new trailer debut and was revealed to be so massive that it is to be spread across two seperate UMD discs when it launches on the PSP.

Check out the new logo, CGI render and one single lonely screenshot below, and remember you can see the small amounts of Media released when it was called Agito over in the Media Vault!
