Pokemon Ultra Sun & Moon: Move Reminder, Move Deleter and other Move Tutor Locations

Training Pokemon is never always smooth sailing. Sometimes a Pokemon just doesn't have the natural ability you need - that can't be helped - but other times, you simply end up accidentally deleting or overwriting an all-important move. Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are prepared for this, however - and there's a few key NPCs who can help. You need the Move Reminder / Relearner and the Move Deleter. Heroes of legend.

Anyway, yes - Pokemon Ultra Sun & Moon (and vanilla Sun & Moon - these tips work for both) are packed with NPCs, but there are a handful who can help you to delete or relearn moves you've encountered before. They're especially useful, and so on this page we'll help you find them.

We're also going to list all of the other move tutors in the game - most of whom exist only in the post game. These are great characters who can teach your Pokemon some of the best moves in the game - good friends to have. If you're after other useful NPCs such as the name rater, we've got a separate page about them. Let's get to it!

Where to find Pokemon Ultra Sun & Moon's Move Deleter and Move Relearner

There are a few different move tutor characters in Pokemon Ultra Sun & Moon, and some of them are actually pretty specific in their focus in that they only teach one or two specific moves. Still, all of them might come in handy for you, so we've listed them all below. All of these move tutors are found in the same place in regular Pokemon Sun & Pokemon Moon, too - so this advice applies to both games.

Pokemon Ultra Sun & Moon's Move Relearner / Move Reminder tutor

The move reminder is a pretty vital tool for any Pokemon trainer - this guy lets you remember any move that it's had before. That could be moves inherited via eggs or moves that it learned or could've learned through leveling up that it's since forgotten. Any hugely serious Pokemon trainer is likely to change moves a lot to get the perfect set up, so this is vital.

The move reminder tutor is found on Mount Lanakila, a late-game area that's only accessible after you complete all the trials. The tutor is an old lady next to the shop inside the Pokemon Center. She's wearing green.

Pokemon Sun & Moon's Move Deleter tutor

While deleting moves might not exactly be a tutor... well, ah, semantics. The move deleter has lost a bit of importance now there's no pesky HMs to get rid of, but the move deleter is still in work all the same.

The move deleter tutor is a balding old man inside Hau'oli City's Pokemon Center. He's standing just in front of the shop.

Other Move Tutor Locations in Pokemon Ultra Sun & Moon

Where to find the Grass Pledge, Fire Pledge & Water Pledge move tutor

These pledge moves come in three flavors - Grass, Fire and Water. These moves represent the starter Pokemon types and can only be learned by the starter Pokemon. It can be taught to Sun & Moon's starters or the starter Pokemon from previous generations.

This tutor is found in the Hau'oli City Shopping Mall. There's a booth that's a blue shop with three people behind it; the one on the right will teach the pledge moves.

Where to find the Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn & Hydro Cannon move tutor

Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn and Hydro Cannon are another three moves exclusive to starter Pokemon from any of the regions but can only be taught to them when they're in their final evolutionary stage.

This tutor is also found in Hau'oli City Shopping Mall. It's again inside the shop with the blue booth and three people behind the desk - the one furthest left will teach these three special moves.

Where to find the Volt Tackle move tutor

Volt Tackle is a great physical electric-type move that does decent damage and has a chance to paralyse - but it also damages the target in the process. It's great on Pikachu, and in Sun & Moon is required to use its Catastropika Z-move.

You'll want to head to the Hano Grand Resort area. Here, you'll want to help the famous Pikachu that's sitting on a sun lounger - it's being hassled by a reporter, the poor thing. Do this and you'll get not only Pikachu's Z-Crystal, but also offer to teach Volt Tackle.

Where to find the Keldeo & Moloetta move tutor for the Secret Sword & Relic Song Mythical Moves

Relic Song and Secret Sword are two very special moves that can be taught to the Pokemon Keldeo and Meloetta respectively. These moves even change the form of these Pokemon, making them pretty important if you want to use these Pokemon.

Head to the Hano Grand Resort Hotel that you visit during the story. In there you'll see a another grey-haired fellow with a blue patterned shirt on. He's your tutor.

Where to find the Draco Meteor and Draco Ascent move tutors (Pokemon Sun & Moon vanilla)

Draco Meteor and Draco Ascent are two particularly powerful moves, and though they have two different tutors their tutors are unwittingly in the same building. One of these moves is dragon-type and can be taught to any dragon Pokemon, while the latter is unique for Rayquaza, should you eventually acquire that legendary.

Both tutors are found in the Seafolk Village Pokemon Center. A girl on the left near the food store will teach you Draco Meteor, while an older, balding man on the right will reach you Draco Ascent.
