Monster Hunter Rise - Gunlance and Insect Glaive trailers published

Capcom has published yet another couple of Monster Hunter Rise weapon showcase trailers, continuing the daily pace within the current week. The two weapons that get their spotlights today are the Gunlance and Insect Glaive.

These trailers also nonchalantly confirmed more returning monsters from Monster Hunter: World. Today's Insect Glaive trailer featured Jyuratodus, while yesterday's Hammer and Sword & Shield trailers showed Anjanath and Kulu-Ya-Ku respectively.

Capcom had previously published trailers for the Dual Blades, BowLance, Long SwordLight Bowgun, and Heavy Bowgun. The remaining weapons yet to have a trailer in this format are the Switch Axe, Charge Blade, Hunting Horn, and Great Sword—if you didn't count the latter's full gameplay trailer published last October.

Gunlance

Unflinching, explosive artillery. The Gunlance brings together an impenetrable defense with high-power ballistics. Stagger your prey with a bevy of bombardments and dish out massive damage with its signature Wyvern's Fire attack. "Guard Edge" is a silkbind attack that takes incoming attacks and restores your weapon's sharpness, making it ready for retaliation.

Insect Glaive

Ace of airborne combat. The Insect Glaive excels at aerial hunting tactics with the combination of a nimble staff and a Kinsect that absorbs essences from monsters, converting them to buffs. "Recall Kinsect" is a silkbind attack that calls back your Kinsect while dodging. As it returns, it will perform spinning attacks that scatter restorative extracts, healing the hunter and recovering all of its stamina.

Monster Hunter Rise will be released for Nintendo Switch simultaneously worldwide on March 26. A free demo will also be available next month.
