Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth launches on December 16 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch

Playism and Team Ladybug have announced that Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth will launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on December 16. The sidescroller RPG previously released for PC (Steam) in March 2021 after an Early Access period.

The console version of Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth features a new package art, as shown below, drawn by Hidari (Atelier Dusk trilogy, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, Toukiden).

While this announcement was made in Japan, the press release states the game supports Japanese, English, Simplified/Traditional Chinese, Korean, Spanish, German, Italian, French, Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian. So, it looks likely this will be a worldwide release date.

In Japan, the PlayStation and Switch versions will be available at retail, with first-print packages including a 22-track OST and a special booklet. The download version is priced at ¥2,480, while the package version is priced at ¥3,980. We'll have to wait for confirmation from Playism's western branch if any retail release is planned in the West.

We reviewed Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth's PC release, finding the visual pixel-art as great as ever from Team Ladybug, but the gameplay variety and game length a little lacking.
