Bioware confirms Mass Effect 3's Composer Line-Up

EA and Bioware have confirmed the musical talent who will be bringing the worlds and action of Mass Effect 3 to life with its score officially for the first time via their Facebook page.

It was reported way back in February that movie composer Clint Mansell - known for his scores including Black Swan and The Wrestler - would contribute to the game, but he's now joined by talent more familiar with the Mass Effect series.

Series veteran Sam Hulick, who worked on Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 will also be contributing to the game, whilst those who worked on Mass Effect 2 downloadable content now appear to be getting their hooks into the series proper also.

Christopher Lennertz (Overlord, Lair of the Shadow Broker), Cris Velasco (Kasumi, Arrival) and Sascha Dikiciyan (Kasumi, Arrival) will all contribute music to the game, bringing along experience with the series in addition to Hollywood movie experience from Lennertz and more video game experience from Velasco and Dikiciyan, who worked on the scores for the God of War series and the TRON Evolution video game respectively.

"The magic of BioWare games has always been the emotional power of the story, so music is extremely important to the experience," Casey Hudson, Executive Producer of the entire series said of the ensemble they've put together to score.

There's interestingly and sadly no sign of core series composer up until now, Jack Wall, in Mass Effect 3's musical line-up.

Bioware also released a teaser track for fans to check out composed by Sam Hulick. It's a sombre piece that we're pretty sure is what plays when the crew leaves Earth for the first time - we think we recognize it from E3. There's a tiny hint at the main Mass Effect theme at the end.
