Plans for Final Fantasy's 30th Anniversary set to be revealed soon

Plans for Final Fantasy's 30th anniversary celebrations will be revealed by Square Enix pretty soon, Square Enix Producer and overall Final Fantasy boss Shinji Hashimoto has told Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu.

Final Fantasy originally released in Japan for the Famicom on December 18th 1987 - meaning, of course, that the series will turn 30 next year.

In the magazine Hashimoto noted that there's a Final Fantasy XIV Real Escape Game coming to Japan. We can also expect more beyond that: we have Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age and Final Fantasy XV patches and DLC coming, plus fans can very likely expect more news on Final Fantasy VII Remake and the ongoing Dissidia Arcade title.

On top of that there's of course a lot of periphery content around Final Fantasy - concerts, non-game product releases, the works.

When the news breaks, we'll be sure to bring you the latest - so stick with us.
