Shepard's Voice Signed on for Mass Effect 3

The man behind the voice of the male Commander Shepard has told us that he’s on board for Mass Effect 3 in the future.

Speaking to RPG Site, Mark Meer wouldn’t be drawn on details but at least assumed he’d be back to voice Shepard for the third game in the series.  “Assume nothing,” he said, “But yes, I have a contract. For a trilogy...”

Despite being signed up, Mark has been kept in the dark about the future of his character by Bioware - “I’m in the dark, I’m afraid. At least, that’s my story, and I’m sticking to it for the safety of my friends and family.”

You can check out the full interview with Mark, where he talks about his work on Mass Effect, Dragon Age and other Bioware properties as well as his non voice acting work here.

Mass Effect 2 is out later this month. We’ve got our copy now, so be sure to stick with us via our RSS Feed and Twitter to get told when our review goes online!
