Persona 5 gets February 2017 western release

Atlus has announced it'll release Persona 5 in the US on February 14, 2017.

The publisher also re-confirmed the game will launch on PlayStation 3 in the US alongside the PlayStation 4 version at a cheaper pricing of $49.99.

To help ease the pain of the game not coming west this year (remember: it was already announced for a September 15 release in Japan in April), Atlus has also announced a different collector's edition to the one Japan will be getting for the game which will be entirely exclusive for PlayStation 4 at the cost of $89.99.

You can find an image of it below, but it'll contain the following:

  • Game's soundtrack
  • 4 inch Morgana plushie
  • 64-page hardback art book
  • Steelbook cover
  • School bag emblazoned with the crest of the Shujin Academy

Atlus will also launch Persona 5 with a special steelbook cover launch edition and will be priced at $59.99. You can also find that below.

It's worth noting that at this time, Atlus still hasn't officially announced a European publisher for the game's release on the continent. So the best option right now if you're an EU'er is to import. Amazon US already has the collector's edition and steelbook cover launch edition already up for pre-order. You can get them here and here, along with the standard edition on  PlayStation 3 here.

More on Persona 5, including new footage, will be shown at E3 next week.
