Mistwalker Announces New Project

In an... interesting blog post talking about his recent discovery of a surfing LEGO piece, Hironobu Sakaguchi, founder of Mistwalker Studios and creator of the Final Fantasy series, has finally announced that his team is currently working on a new title, and may already be close to completion:

"Am I an "idle man", I wonder? (^^;
Well, I am just trying to pastime…
I am working hard on a new project.
Now we are being rushed into the “finishing” stage.
No matter what, I will make it really good.... "

Nothing else has been revealed, and what this actual "finishing stage" entails, but once we learn more, we'll be sure to bring it to you.

The demo is amazingly fun. I have this pre-ordered and am anusxoily awaiting its release. I prefer action and arcade-style titles and have grown to hate the lengthy RPG so this suits me very well.

Finally. This is exciting news. Another epic, traditional JRPG would be awesome but I want a new title from Sakaguchi. LO was amazing and I know a lot of people are calling for an LO2 but I don't want a sequel/prequel or anything of the sort. Look at what SE did with FFX-2 and the Compilation of FFVII. Destroyed two great games for me.
