Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana releases in North America and Europe in September

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana finally released on PS4 in Japan this week, having launched originally as a Playstation Vita only title last year. During a live stream celebrating the launch, NIS America also gave us the release dates for the western release. Unlike the original Japanese launch, the western release will be for all platforms: Vita, Playstation 4, and even Steam!

Ys VIII launches for the west on September 12th in North America and September 15th in Europe. NIS America also uploaded a new video of the game's opening movie cinematic:

About the game:

Ys returns with a brand new adventure for the first time in 8 years! Adol awakens shipwrecked and stranded on a cursed island. There, he and the other shipwrecked passengers he rescues form a village to challenge fearsome beasts and mysterious ruins on the isolated island. Amidst this, Adol begins to dream of a mysterious blue-haired maiden living in an unknown world. Join Adol as he unravels the riddle of the cursed isle and the blue-haired maiden Dana in Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana!
