Mass Effect 2 getting one more DLC pack, Cerberus News coming to an End

Mass Effect 2 launched with a cool little feature, Cerberus Network, that updated daily from launch day with in-universe stories and tidbits that have hinted at what is to come for the space-RPG franchise. Over the weekend Cerberus Daily News announced it'd be ending later this month - but it's not all bad news.

While the daily posts will be coming to an end, the guys at Bioware - posting out of character for once - revealed that they'd have three more weeks to come over the next year. One week of those posts will "precede a downloadable content release" for Mass Effect 2.

Sounds like Bioware aren't done bridging the gap between the second and third games, and after how good Lair of the Shadow Broker was, we're excited for the DLC already. The other two weeks of posts to Cerberus Daily News will, of course, come in the two weeks leading up to Mass Effect 3's release.

Stick with us here on RPG Site for the latest on the Mass Effect series. It's currently unclear what'll happen with the Cerberus Daily News feature on the PS3 version, which launches mere days before the service is due to discontinue. That's had screenshots released for the first time over here.
