Soul Hackers 2 Totem Memory Locations and Magnetite Mass Locations Checklist

Early on in Soul Hackers 2, you'll be introduced to Tatara at the COMP Smith, who will upgrade your weaponry for the cost of some yen and some collectible items. Most of the items she asks for, like the ones that drop from monsters, are easy enough to find. You can simply use the in-game bestiary to look up where to find the monster, and then seek out as many drops as you need.

However, some collectible items are not so prevalent. There are a handful of collectibles that the game will tell you are limited in quantity and cannot be found as item drops. The key two items in this category are Totem Memory and Magnetite Mass. Instead of being found by monster drops, these are found at specified Demon Recon points, or sometimes from certain boss battles - sometimes during optional side quests. Unlock Chip and Bespoke Chip also work in this fashion, with only a limited amount available to find in a playthrough.

Don't worry though, there are more Totem Memory and Magnetite Mass available than you need to upgrade all your COMPs to full, so you don't need to worry too much about getting absolutely every one of them. Also, as long as you are thorough in explore maps and talking to the Demon Recon demons you see, you should naturally pick up all of these items without issue.

However, we decided to list out all the locations you can get these anyway.

Tatara at COMP Smith will request Totem Memory, Magnetite Mass, and other limited items to perform upgrades.

Soul Hackers 2 - Totem Memory Locations

This checklist lists Totem Memory items found in the game roughly in the order you can find them. However, it may vary slightly, depending on your Soul Levels and which Soul Matrix floors you get access to.

Also very important to note. Due to the way Soul Hackers 2 is structured, you cannot complete the Soul Matrix completely in one playthrough. If you maximize Soul Levels and spread them evenly among the party, you'll be able to achieve 100+ Soul Level for each character by the end of the game, meaning you can *reach* each character's fifth floor, but you won't be able to complete it. Soul Level is boosted in New Game+ , so you have to wait until a second playthrough to fully complete the Soul Matrix.
