Persona 3 Portable: Koromaru (Strength) social link choices guide

If you’re a dog lover, there’s no better storyline in Persona 3 Portable than the Koromaru social link, which is exclusively available to the female protagonist. Koromaru is a key part of Persona 3 regardless - but the female lead gets a full-blown S-Link relationship with the pup.

Raising the Strength S-Link with Koromaru will reveal more about this cute little fella, but also will improve your options in Persona Fusion when fusing Strength Arcana allies. This guide will help you to hit Rank 10 with Koromaru in a fast and efficient manner, featuring everything you need to know.

Koromaru S-Link Guide - Strength

The Koromaru Social Link in Persona 3 Portable allows you to get closer to SEES' beloved canine companion.

The Persona 3 Portable Strength Social Link is with Koromaru, a canine friend of the SEES squad - at least, for the female protagonist. If you’re playing as the male lead, your Strength S-Link is Yuuko Nishiwaki instead. More on that S-Link can be found on other pages of our Persona 3 Portable Social Link guide.

As is standard, spending time with Koromaru grants S-Link experience that will allow you to rank up. However, you can speed up the process by saying the right things while hanging out, obtaining bonus points that’ll rank up the link more quickly. This guide helps with that by listing all the choices that can offer up said bonuses.

If a choice isn’t listed here it doesn’t have any available bonus points, so you can say whatever you like. If our point counts don’t tally with what you get, make sure you’re getting the Acana Bonus, which is obtained by making sure you have a Strength Persona in your party whenever spending time with Koromaru.

You can hang out with Koromaru by speaking to him on the nighttimes of any day of the week in the Iwatodai Dormitory’s main commons area.
While the actual S-Link is exclusive to the female player character, either protagonist can take Koromaru for a walk, which grants S-Link EXP for random links and also sometimes offers up items.

Unlock & Rank 1:

As previously mentioned the Koromaru Social Link is exclusive to the Female Protagonist, who is only available in Persona 3 Portable. So, first thing’s first, to unlock the Koromaru S-Link, you’ll need to be the female MC.

As the female protagonist, you’ll be able to start the Koromaru S-Link from 8/15 - however, you’ll first need to have completed at least one rank of the Fuuka (Priestess) social link to get the Dog Food key item needed to start the relationship.
