Getting new Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 vehicles is as simple as getting on the internet

Cyberpunk 2077 has always had an odd fixation on cars. Perhaps it's due to the game's emulation of American cities and the car-centric future envisioned by its slightly quaint take on cyberpunk aesthetic. Or perhaps it's because of its open-world aspirations, and the fact that there's no open-world game - not even CD Projekt RED's own mega-hit The Witcher 3 - with quite the gravity of Grand Theft Auto. Whatever the reason, Cyberpunk 2077 loves itself a good vehicle, and its massive "version 2.0" update brings with it the most futuristic new way to access the many cars of Night City: A website on the internet.

Thanks to Santo Domingo Fixer Muamar "El Capitán" Reyes, V can now turn to the magic of an online used car dealership to get a vehicular fix. This comes in the form of the "AutoFixer" website.

How to Buy New Vehicles in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 and Phantom Liberty

As mentioned, you just have to go online now to buy new cars. Unlike before, you won't need to wait for a Fixer to call you and alert you to the presence of a used car somewhere in the city. You won't even need to travel to the car's location just to buy it. Now, you can get online at any terminal (including V's desktop computer in their apartment) and visit the AutoFixer website.

There, El Capitan will have a selection of vehicles online for you to buy, organized by manufacturer. It's just a matter of having enough eddies in your account to buy the vehicle of your choice. Once you spend the scratch to buy a car, it'll be added to your garage, and can be summoned like any other vehicle in the game.

It's also worth noting that El Capitan doesn't have a monopoly on Night City's car market. The "old" used cars are still out there in the world, and can be approached and purchased just like in the pre-2.0 version of the game. These include some of the secret vehicles and quest rewards.

Which Vehicles Can I Buy in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0?

Via the AutoFixer site you can pick up a good selection of the available vehicles in the base game, such as the Shion Mizutani and the Colby Butte. The Phantom Liberty expansion also adds a number of entirely new rides, many of them equipped with mounted weaponry.

However, it should be noted that some of the vehicles are gated by your Street Cred ranking. Yes, El Capitan cares about your reputation on his used car website. You'll need to improve it by leveling up before some of the site's selection is unlocked.

Furthermore, some other vehicles are even gated by El Capitan's new activity: Courier missions. Courier missions are essentially "car thief" missions you can carry out for El Capitan. They're randomly generated and repeatable, though a couple include unique stories. Doing a certain number of Courier gigs for El Capitan will unlock some of his special AutoFixer stock.

What Are The New Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 Vehicles?

For the most part, after the 2.0 update, Cyberpunk 2077's vehicle selection is largely the same as before (though AutoFixer makes it more accessible). However, Phantom Liberty adds both a new range of vehicles as well as a set of updated car combat mechanics. These include shooting out of your car with a handheld weapon, damaging and destroying cars with quickhacks and other tactics, and using built-in mounted weapons on certain vehicles.

Most of the armed vehicles are new to the game from Phantom Liberty , but journeying into the Badlands in the base game will bring you access to a few newly updated Aldecados Nomad rides. The Nomads have tricked out their wheels, and in Mad Max fashion, many Nomad vehicles now carry a mounted weapon you can use.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The version 2.0 update is exclusive to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC versions of the game.
