Persona 5 Royal Hifumi confidant guide: Star choices, romance, unlock & gifts
Of all the confidants in Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal, Hifumi Togo is perhaps one of the most curious to get to know - because this classmate of Joker and the others was almost a phantom thief herself, but during development she was downgraded to an NPC that you can also build a meaningful relationship with. In the velvet room, she's representative of the Star arcana.
Hifumi is still a romanceable character, however, and in this guide we'll teach you how to romance her - or at the very least take your friendship to the limit. This page lists every conversation and every choice within those conversations and the impact those choices have on your relationships - so by following it, you can max out your confidant cooperation quickly and effectively.

Hifumi Togo Confidant Cooperation Guide - Star (XVIII)
The below headings and bullet points list every confidant rank with Hifumi, plus all of the choices you can make that impact the relationship. If a conversation option isn't listed, it has no effect, and the numbers next to the answers listed reveal how many 'points' each adds to the invisible EXP-style stat that determines your confidant rank with Hifumi.
Remember that all of the points values below are based on what you'd earn if you have a Persona of the relevant arcana - in this case Star - on your person, in Joker's inventory when hanging out with Hifumi. Make sure you always have one to hand.
- Location & Days Hifumi is available: Hifumi Togo is found in the church at Kanda, and an in-game event will point you her way, though going there is optional. She's there at night.
- Hifumi Gift: If you want to give Hifumi a gift, some good initial ideas are a fountain pen, book cover or fan, as detailed in our brief Hifumi Gifts list below. More present options are listed in our full Persona 5 Gift Guide.
- Hanging out with Hifumi will increase your Knowledge social stat, which is a nice added bonus.
Rank 1:
- You'll need to have completed the Kaneshiro's Bank heist.
- After 6/25, visit Kanda Church and talk to the girl towards the front. To start the cooperation you'll need at least rank 3 (suave) charm, otherwise she'll just ignore you.
- Unlocks Koma Sabaki, which lets you swap out party members on the fly mid-battle whenever it's Joker's turn.

After this a sidequest / request for Mementos is unlocked: Upstaging the Stage Mother. Complete the Upstaging the Stage Mother sidequest, then return to Hifumi to continue this rank:
