Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth: Best Weapons for each class and how to find them

Just like its predecessor, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth has a plethora of jobs to select from that players will unlock throughout the story. Many of these jobs are exclusive to specific characters, while others are unlocked through the Alo-Happy Tours shop. Certain jobs are better than others for specific characters, and you'll want to make sure that you select an appropriate weapon for each job in order to maximize each one's potential. This Best Weapons guide aims to help you make sure that you do just that.

The absolute best weapons in Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth are crafted at Julie's Gearworks, but require materials and resources that won't be available until very far into the game. Since this won't really be that useful for the majority of the game's runtime, up front we list the best gear to seek out up until you're ready to craft the weapons at Julie's. Below that, we get into the Ultimate Weapons, for those of you ready for the endgame, or even looking for weapons to carry into New Game Plus.

Note: Ichiban's Freelancer job and Kiryu's Dragon of Dojima job do not wield weapons -- lefty and righty are your best and only options there.
Here are the best weapons for each class in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and how to find them.

Ultimate Weapons and Where to Find Shark Fins and Squid Tentacles

Note. In order to make ultimate weapons for a character-exclusive Job, you'll need to complete the Drink Link V for that character in order to earn the base 5-star weapon named after the class, such as Assassin's Needle or Cabbie's Wrench. For the non-exclusive jobs, the weapons must be earned as drops from enemies. You'll also need to be at the max investment level at Julie's Gearworks.

In order to craft each job's ultimate weapons, you'll need:

  • The base 5-star weapon for the job
  • 15x Crystal resource (usually Rainbow, but can change depending on the weapon)
  • 1x Empty Cough Drop Tin
  • Either 1x Shark Fin or 1x Squid Tentacles
  • $140,000.00

In order to earn Shark Fins and Squid Tentacles, the most reliable way to earn these is to clear the EX Sectors of either the Hawaiian Haunt or Yokohama Underground dungeons. The first clear of each dungeon will earn you a couple each for free -- one as a first time reward for clearing the EX Sector, and one for rescuing all NPCs. After this point you can trade 15,000 Robo Disks to Robo Michio for Shark Fins, and 18,000 Geomijuj Survey Data to Utamaru for Squid Tentacles.
