Dragon's Dogma 2 Maister Skill Locations: Where to find all 12 secret skills
Maister Skills are secret vocation abilities found in Dragon's Dogma 2. There are 12 of them in total, and some are incredibly useful to have, but these skills can be missed if you are not careful.
Here is where are all twelve Maister Skills can be found. As noted below, if you are having trouble getting a skill even after completing the related quest, you can always try raising the Maister's affinity through gifts instead.

Dragon's Dogma Fighter Maister Skill
- Item Name: Soldier’s Code
- Skill Name: Riotous Fury
- Vocation: Fighter
- How to Obtain: Quest reward for Readvent of Calamity in Melve Village from Lennart. This quest will appear after having completed the main quest Monster Culling. Note, if Lennart does not give you the skill, you can try raising his affinity through gifts instead.
Dragon's Dogma Thief Maister Skill (1)
- Item Name: Legend’s Opus
- Skill Name: Blades of the Pyre
- Vocation: Thief
- How to Obtain: You will gain this in the Nameless Village simply by talking to Flaude in the big manor.
Dragon's Dogma Thief Maister Skill (2)
- Item Name: Pilferer’s Handbook
- Skill Name: Formless Feint
- Vocation: Thief
- How to Obtain: Also in the Nameless Village, you'll find access to a Nameless Village Undergrounddungeon just outside the big manor. Complete a small platforming challenge to find the thief's guild and this ability.
Dragon's Dogma Sorcerer Maister Skill (1)
- Item Name: Myrddin’s Chronicle
- Skill Name: Maelstrom
- Vocation: Sorceror
- How to Obtain: There are three Maister Skills involving the quests The Sorcerer's Appraisal and Spellbound. Check out our quest guide for more details about how to get these skills. For Maelstrom specifically, you want to give Myrddin forgeries of the five Grimoires he asks for.

- Item Name: Conjurer’s Jotting
- Skill Name: Meteron
- Vocation: Sorceror
- How to Obtain: There are three Maister Skills involving the quests The Sorcerer's Appraisal and Spellbound. Check out our quest guide for more details about how to get these skills. For Meteron specifically, you'll get this from Trysha after giving her 5 real Grimoires in the Spellbound quest.

Enchanter’s Almanac - teaches ‘Celestial Paean’ to Mages- from Eini after Spellbound quest
- Item Name: Enchanter’s Almanac
- Skill Name: Celestial Paean
- Vocation: Mage
- How to Obtain: There are three Maister Skills involving the quests The Sorcerer's Appraisal and Spellbound. Check out our quest guide for more details about how to get these skills. For Meteron specifically, you'll get this from Eini after giving Trysha 5 real Grimoires in the Spellbound quest.
Dragon's Dogma Archer Maister Skill
- Item Name: Hunter’s Secret
- Skill Name: Heavenly Shot
- Vocation: Archer
- How to Obtain: You'll get this skill from the Elf elder Taliesin in Sacred Arbor after doing the quest Trial of Archery.
Dragon's Dogma Magick Archer Maister Skill
- Item Name: Spellbow’s Paradox
- Skill Name: Martyr’s Bolt
- Vocation: Magick Archer
- How to Obtain: You'll obtain this Maister Skill alongside the Magick Archer vocation. You'll need to complete the sidequest Put a Spring in Thy Step on Agamen Volcanic Island. Note, this skill can one-shot Drakes.
Dragon's Dogma Warfarer Maister Skill
- Item Name: Grandmaster’s Path
- Skill Name: Rearmament
- Vocation: Warfarer
- How to Obtain: You'll gain this Maister Skill alongside the Warfarer class itself. You'll have to complete The Sotted Sage quest on Agamen Volcanic Island.
Dragon's Dogma Warrior Maister Skill
- Item Name: Champion’s Fable
- Skill Name: Arc of Might
- Vocation: Warrior
- How to Obtain: Beren is found west of the Borderwatch Outpost at the beginning of the game. Upon completing his quests Claw Them Into Shape and Beren’s Final Lesson, he'll move to his home just south of the Checkpoint Rest Town, at the entrance to Battahl. He should give you this skill here. If not, simply gift him a few items and he'll eventually share it.
Dragon's Dogma Trickster Maister Skill
- Item Name: Theurgist’s Rite
- Skill Name: Dragon’s Delusion
- Vocation: Trickster
- How to Obtain: You'll find this at the Reverent Shrine in Battahl, where the "ghost" of Luz gives you the Trickster Vocation. The ghost is, of course, a trick. Climb to the top of the shrine and you'll meet the real Luz near the front. She'll give you the skill.
Dragon's Dogma Mystic Spearhand Maister Skill
- Item Name: Paladin’s Enigmata
- Skill Name: Wild Furie
- Vocation: Mystic Spearhand
- How to Obtain: After obtaining this class from Sigurd, you can get its Maister Skill from him as long as you kill the Blight Dragon. Most likely, you'll have to travel to the far south of the map to find the dragon at Dragonsbreath Tower. We have more details in our Mystic Spearhand guide.
