Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave Paralogues - How to access all Paralogue battles and where to find them
Paralogue battles are optional, extra encounters found in many Fire Emblem titles. These battles often supplement the narrative, while usually offering more complex mission objectives or battle situations. The Paralogues available in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave are no different in that regard. However, knowing where to actually find Paralogues in the game can be challenging. That's where this page will come in handy.
There are a few key things to know about Paralogues in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave:
- Paralogues only appear in Part I of the game. There are none in Part II or Part III.
- There are nine Paralogues in total.
- Which Paralogues are available will depend on which Part I Path you are playing (Cai, Dietrich, Theodora, or Leda). You cannot access all Paralogues in just one Path.
- Paralogue availability is limited to certain days on the calendar, and these specific days will depend on which route you are on.
- Which Paralogues are completed may affect some character availability in Part III.
Each Paralogue is tied to a character. Each of the game's eight flame lords (Cai, Dietrich, Theodora, Leda, Bertrand, Talimun, Anatolia, and Orchel) has one, plus Anna. While each Paralogue has a normal name, they are also referred to in-game by the character they are tied to. For example, Leda's Paralogue is called "Diversionary Tactics", but you'll also see it referred to as 'Leda's Paralogue'.
First, let me outline which paralogues are available depending on the route you are playing. This can be seen in the table below.
| Paralogue | Cai's Path | Dietrich's Path | Theodora's Path | Leda's Path |
| Leda's Paralogue | N/A | Available | Available | N/A |
| Theodora's Paralogue | N/A | Available | N/A | N/A |
| Bertrand's Paralogue | Available | Available | Available | N/A |
| Talimun's Paralogue | Available | Available | Available | N/A |
| Anna's Paralogue | Available | Available | Available | N/A |
| Anatolia's Paralogue | N/A | Available | N/A | Available |
| Cai's Paralogue | N/A | Available | Available | Available |
| Dietrich's Paralogue | N/A | N/A | Available | Available |
| Orchel's Paralogue | Available | Available | Available | Available |
As you can see from the table above, Dietrich has access to the most paralogues — eight of them. He can access all Paralogue battles except his own (none of the playable Lords can access their own Paralogue). Cai and Leda have access to the lowest number of Paralogues — only four each. Theodora's Paralogue is also only available on Dietrich's Path, strangely enough.
As for when the Paralogues are available, this information can be found below, where we outline each Paralogue. The list below is generally given in chronological order. Paralogues do not appear until Chapter 9 (for Dietrich) or Chapter 10 (everyone else).
Paralogue completion *may* affect some character availability in Part III of the game, depending on how you approach it. If you complete a Flame Lord's Paralogue but NOT their Part I Path, then the character will be available in Part III in a "limited" capacity. This means they will be available in battle, but not for story or support purposes.
For example, if you complete Dietrich's Path and complete Theodora's Paralogue on that path, but you do NOT complete Theodora's Path, then Theodora will be available only as a limited ally in Part III.
If you complete all Part I paths, then this doesn't apply. No characters will be limited.
List of Paralogues in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave
Diversionary Tactics (Leda's Paralogue)
- Obtained from: 9/2 - 9/8 from Leda in Temple Row
- Availability:
- Cai: N/A
- Dietrich: 9/2 - 9/8
- Theodora: 9/2 - 9/8
- Leda: N/A
- Reward: Silver Shield, 20000G, 150R
- Note: This battle takes place specifically on 9/8. If you choose to start before then, the game will let you do auto-activities to spend turns until 9/8.
- Battle Strategy: This is the simplest Paralogue of the game. Simply take out the foes while destroying obstacles in the way, and be careful with poison.
Missing Brave-Warrior Statue (Theodora's Paralogue)
- Obtained from: Bonaventure in Temple Row
- Availability:
- Cai: N/A
- Dietrich: 9/3 - 9/12; Deadline 9/15
- Theodora: N/A
- Leda: N/A
- Reward: Pilum, 20000G, 150R
- Battle Strategy: There are three mechanisms you need to stand on to complete the level: one in the SE, one in the SW, and one in the NW. You can see them through the fog if you look carefully enough. This is a fog-of-war map, so make sure your fragile units stay in the rear.
Friendly Match with Brigid's King (Bertrand's Paralogue)
- Obtained from: Gabriel in Arena Square
- Availability:
- Cai: 9/17 - 9/25; Deadline 9/25
- Dietrich: 9/17 ONLY
- Emphasizing that Dietrich only gets one day to access this Paralogue. It's the only Paralogue in the game with such a limited window.
- Theodora: 9/17 - 9/25; Deadline 9/25
- Leda: N/A
- Reward: Extra Large Bullion, 20000G, 150R
- Battle Strategy: The objective of this battle is to defeat four giants before Peppe's group does. You are given 'bait', which can be given to a Giant to prevent the other group from damaging it for a turn. Peppe's group can also do this, so prioritize knocking them out if they are near a Giant you are attacking. Note that the yellow-colored allies around a Giant will disappear when a Giant is defeated, so consider ignoring them if able.
Secret of the Vanished Carriage (Talimun's Paralogue)
- Obtained from: Talimun near the Port
- Availability:
- Cai: 9/17 - 9/22 OR 10/1 - 10/10; Deadline 10/12
- Dietrich: 9/17 - 9/22 OR 10/1 - 10/10; Deadline 10/12
- Theodora: 9/17 - 9/22 OR 10/1 - 10/10; Deadline 10/12
- Leda: N/A
- Reward: Cleansing Blade, 20000G, 150R
- Battle Strategy: This is a hectic battle where the giant birds and thieves will attack each other and also your team. The main thing to keep aware of is that when a thief grabs a piece of cargo, it will beeline towards the exit at the top of the map. So, be sure to have at least one unit stay back to catch thieves before they can escape.
Golden Secret (Anna's Paralogue)
- Obtained from: Anna at Dagsion Summit
- Availability:
- Cai: 9/24 - 10/5; Deadline 10/5
- Dietrich: 9/29 - 10/5; Deadline 10/5
- Theodora: 9/24 - 10/5; Deadline 10/5
- Leda: N/A
- Reward: Orichalcum, 20000G, 150R
- Note: This paralogue can be done from Dagsion on any day before the deadline.
- Battle Strategy: This is a somewhat difficult Paralogue because of the limited number of units you can bring. Be sure to bring a healer (preferably with Physic) and someone able to damage armored units. After a few turns, Solel will face off against the Giant. However, don't have Solel attack the giant. Have Solel retreat and continue taking out enemies and ore deposits before leaving the Giant for last. Leave the last ore deposit until you are ready to tackle the Giant. Taking it out will lower the Giant's armor and stun him for a turn, so don't let this go to waste before you are ready.
Queen of the Erased (Anatolia's Paralogue)
- Obtained from: Anatolia in City Streets
- Availability:
- Cai: N/A
- Dietrich: 10/5 - 10/14; Deadline 10/17
- Theodora: N/A
- Leda: 10/5 - 10/14; Deadline 10/17
- Reward: Electron Agitator, 20,000G, 150R
- Also Spellshard & Dew of Peace if all villagers are saved.
- End: 10/17
- Battle Strategy: This is probably the most difficult of the Paralogue battles, mainly due to the pentkehydra boss in the center. You do not need to defeat the boss to win, nor does it give you any additional rewards, but it does immediately end the battle if you are able to win. You should first make sure none of the villagers are confused, then slowly have them move E then N around the map counter-clockwise to the exit. The pentkehydra will be stunned whenever you attack one of the worms who animate differently from the rest. Use this to your advantage when you can. Keep god blessings in mind for this battle, especially Kalla's, which raises Avo.
Great Escape (Cai's Paralogue)
- Obtained from: 10/16 - 10/22 from Cai in City Streets
- Availability:
- Cai:
- Dietrich: 10/16 - 10/22; Deadline 10/22
- Theodora: 10/16 - 10/22; Deadline 10/22
- Leda: 10/16 - 10/22; Deadline 10/22
- Reward: Gem Box x1, 20000G, 150R
- Note: The paralogue battle takes place on 10/22 in Dagsion.
- Battle Strategy: For this battle, you are supposed to prevent the enemies from reaching the destination. I usually just beelined to Centurio and took him out ASAP.
Sealed-Off Past (Dietrich's Paralogue)
- Obtained from: Fabio near Arena
- Availability:
- Cai:
- Dietrich: N/A
- Theodora: 10/16 - 10/24; Deadline 10/24*
- Leda: 10/16 - 10/22; Deadline 11/1
- Reward: Salamander x2, 20000G, 150R
- End: 11/1
- *Note: For Theodora's Route, the expiration is listed as 11/1 on the quest page, but Theodora's chapter 12 ends on 10/24. So, 10/24 is the actual expiration.
- Battle Strategy: This is a 10-turn defense map. Have an archer (or two) on the E side to take out Pegasus Knights, but otherwise, your strongest team should have little issue here.
Orchel's Regret (Orchel's Paralogue)
- Obtained from: 10/18-10/25 from Orchel in Lower Temple Row
- Availability:
- Cai: 10/18 - 10/20; Deadline 10/21
- Dietrich: 10/18 - 10/25; Deadline 10/27
- Theodora: 10/18 - 10/24*; Deadline 10/24
- Leda: 10/18 - 10/25; Deadline 10/27
- Reward: Healing Staff, 20000G, 150R
- *Note: For Theodora's Route, the expiration is listed as 10/27 on the quest page, but Theodora's chapter 12 ends on 10/24. So, 10/24 is the actual expiration.
- Battle Strategy: This is the biggest Paralogue map, but not especially difficult. Split your team into two and head towards the two switches. When hit at the same time, the Onager will deal a portion of damage to the boss and his surrounding units. Note that Pegasus Knights will reinforce the E side of the map, so don't leave anyone vulnerable behind. Also, the two chests on this map simply have Pure Waters - not worth the risk of trying to get to them early.
