E3 Follow-Up: Sony Playstation 3

Many revelations came from E3 concerning almost all aspects of the mysterious PS3. Here's what we've learned then so far:

Dual Shock controller...Loses its shock!
--> That's right. The Playstation 3 may be using a slightly more favourable controller which very much resembles the new Nintendo Wii controller; giving six new degrees of freedom. This came at a cost, however - with the trusty "force feedback" technology being scrapped.

A release date revealed!
--> Start saving up money in your piggy banks now, as the World Wide release of the PS3 is scheduled for November 17th 2006.

Speaking of piggy banks...
--> Pricing information was also released at this year conference with price tags starting from $499 (Around 499 Euros) for a PS3 with a 20GB Hard Drive to $599/599 Euros) for a PS3 + 60GB Hard Drive. This may well change in time, so stay tuned!

--> Giga-bit Ethernet for super-fast online gameplay
--> HDTV compatability
--> CPU Cell Processor

----> Maximum Read Speed BD 2x (BD-ROM)

Already, 10,000 developer kits for the PS3 have been shipped and final kits are shipping now.

--> Coded Arms: Assault
--> NBA Live
