Reaper Class

A wraithlike warrior who melts into the shadows to turn the tide of battle

Roles: Melee DPS and Support
Weapon: Scythes

Class Overview

As disciples of an ancient clan, Reapers blur the boundaries between life and death. Using their powerful scythes, they rake across the battlefield like hurricanes of darkness. Having glanced behind the curtain into the unknown, Reapers can manipulate the energy of life itself, reawakening allies to new powers and healing fatal injuries. Their connection to the shadows allows them to sneak up on their enemies unawares.

Background Story

The sunlight never penetrates the depths of the abyss; dark and mysterious, with strange purple lights shining everywhere, the secret subterranean temple complex is home to the Reaper school. The Reapers came from Heavenly Ridge, the place of pilgrimage for the followers of Nüwa. After the great goddess Nüwa entered the realm in ancient times, the Lao people who lived in Heavenly Ridge took on the goddess’ mission and remained in the mortal world. They gradually divided into two branches, one of which was transferred to Heavenly Ridge’s underground temple and became the Grand Warlock’s guard. Tasked with protecting the sacred objects left behind by Nüwa, they became known as the Reapers for their ability to conceal their presence and springing deadly traps on their enemies.

Class Zone

Living and training underground for many years, Reapers have complete mastery over their bodies and can sneak up on their opponents without being noticed. When fighting alone, Reapers excel at overpowering their foes with powerful attacks and toxic skills capable of weakening and even paralyzing their opponents. The cavernous underground temple to Nüwa lies beneath the Summoner’s Heavenly Ridge – and only the chosen ones have access. Shortly before she went to Spiritopolis, Nüwa sealed a Sacred Relic within this temple, and the Reapers lead a secluded life underground to guard it. To hone their skills with poisonous creatures, Reapers use the main platform in their hideout as a dueling ground.

Masteries

This highly versatile class can virtually become a manifestation of Death itself, capable of hunting enemies with increased speed and strength while teleporting to other locations to swiftly and stealthily spring traps on their enemies.

Assassin (DPS): The Reapers command a range of powerful curses and breed poisonous creatures to deploy in combat. In the darkness, they lie in wait for their enemies, attacking with lightning speed and mercilessly cutting them down with a swing of their scythe.

Occultist (Support): Schooled in the ancient healing techniques recorded by the Liao tribe in the Book of Blessed Healing, Reapers can also become Occultists. By sacrificing their own blood, they can call on the mercy of the goddess Nüwa to support their allies. They can also boost their teammates with special breeds of insects, allowing them to perform beyond their normal capabilities. Select a teammate to share the damage they receive and help them survive encounters.

Reaper

Berserker Class

A nomadic hero who cherishes freedom and would rather die than shatter their sword

Roles: Tank and DPS
Weapon: Greatsword

Class Overview

Berserkers feel most at home in the thick of the fray. Wielding their massive swords, they strike fear into their enemies’ hearts while simultaneously protecting their allies. Berserkers can call upon a loyal wolf to support them. Depending on the situation, they can act as a bulwark in defending enemy attacks or unleash their power in a veritable whirlwind of destruction.

Background Story & Class Zone

The founder of the Berserker school was Qingya, who was originally a giant turquoise wolf. Lan Yaoqi guided him down the path to enlightenment and later took him on as her student. During his travels, Qingya recruited many other warriors and heroes to follow him. On the eve of the showdown with his fellow novice Yuejiang, Qingya wrote a testament in which he urged his students to return to the Valley of a Hundred Grasses and serve Lan Yaoqi in his stead. Those followers, who had inherited Qingya’s martial arts, and his renowned ability to hold his drink, named their school after their master’s particular combat style, and they are still known to this day as the Berserkers.

Masteries

The Berserker class possesses the ability to transform into a wolf, which can even function as a mount for another ally. They can also tear through their enemies, inflicting great damage by riding atop of their greatswords.

Slayer (DPS): Combining the essence of Shennong with the finest swordsmanship in the empire, the Slayers slice and dice their way through the front lines regardless of cost, using swift and brutal attacks to bring enemies to their knees before they have a chance to react. Certain skills can create phantom warriors who can be ordered to attack enemies in tandem with the Slayer.

Drunken Master (Tank): Drunken Masters use a specially brewed medicinal wine to make their movements and attacks even wilder and less predictable, granting them a fortuitous edge in combat through their intoxication. They can harness the force of the wind to block enemy attacks or summon a wolf whose howls stir their allies to frenzied action.

Berserker

Spellsword Class

A righteous monk who employs arcane techniques to subdue and eliminate evil spirits

Roles: Melee and Ranged DPS
Weapon: Swords

Class Overview

Spellswords blend deadly swordplay and powerful magic, making them a threatening prospect at any range. They can rapidly switch between blades and destructive spells in the blink of an eye. Spellswords are trained for one purpose and one purpose only – to inflict damage on their foes, wherever they might be.

Background Story

Together with Zhenren Chixia and the students from Taihua Temple, integrity and generosity found their way into the country. The demons were destroyed, and Taihua Mountain was gradually transformed into a veritable paradise on earth. However, while Chixia was away on a journey, she lost contact with the students from Taihua Temple, and ill fortunes befell one of them. After a series of unexpected incidents and increasing differences between the students, some of them deserted Taihua Mountain, leading to a schism and the creation of two separate schools. Those who stayed became the first Spellswords.

Class Zone

Taihua Temple has a strict hierarchy. Its towers and terraces are magnificent to behold, and the incense has burned within its halls for hundreds of years. Ordinary people often visit to pray for blessings. The peak of Taihua Mountain is topped with a layer of snow all year round. The pines and cypresses growing on it are full of vitality and show vigorous resistance to the cold, while the skies overhead are occasionally filled with cranes. It is a true paradise on earth, where one can marvel at the glory of the elements as they change through the seasons.

Masteries

Spellswords are well-versed in many ancient techniques, including the art of teleportation, which allows them to move a whole team to a previously marked location. The Spellsword tradition is based on the Nine Imperial Sword Techniques, which were honed and refined by the immortal Zhengyang.

Sword Artist (Ranged DPS): As ranged combatants, Sword Artists use their qi to make swords fly, attacking enemies safely from a distance. Staying out of danger is made easier by driving enemies back with spells, as well as their unique ability to teleport to magical swords strategically placed around the battlefield.

Bladestorm (Melee DPS): Bladestorms can use powerful melee attacks to punish their enemies by setting up swords in a pentagram-like shape, capable of stunning any hostile trespassers. These masters of the ancient blade can move across the battlefield with lightning speed, leaving behind mere echoes of their previous location while striking their enemies with deadly blows.

Bard Class

A well-cultured and elegant monk, deeply entwined with the forces of nature

Roles: Ranged DPS & Support
Weapon: Elemental Harp

Class Overview

Bards have a deep and profound understanding of music, knowing how to combine the magical notes of their instruments and unlock powerful spells by channeling the forces of nature. They use this magic to hit their foes from a distance or provide support and succor to their allies with powerful healing melodies. Their versatility makes Bards a welcome addition to any ranks. Whatever the situation, they always strike the right chord! Highly attuned to the sound of the elements, Bards can harmonically tune to the Dao of their allies to heal and strengthen them, or alternatively provoke imbalance in the forces of nature, resulting in powerful attacks which can unleash the full fury of the elements.

Background Story

The students of Zhenren Chixia obliterated the demons and gradually transformed Taihua Mountain into a peaceful paradise. Yet even while this was happening, ill-fortune befell Zhengyang, one of her students. Fellow student Zhengyang was blamed for this, and a series of disputes exacerbated the differences between the two of them, ultimately leading the latter to depart Taihua Mountain. Heshuo vowed to find the real culprit behind Zhengyang’s ill fortunes, and the students of Taihua Mountain subsequently split into two distinct schools. Those who left became the first Bards.

Class Zone

Hemmed in by the peaks of distant hills, the sound of the harp is eternal among the peach trees and pavilions around the Mountain of Wondrous Creation. The area is like an artist’s impression of reality, a painting epitomizing the idealized expression of beauty.

Masteries

Bards play an important role in combat by providing their allies with supporting damage or protection. They can also summon a special furnace that both they and their allies can use to apply buffs before venturing into dangerous situations.

Dissonance (Ranged DPS): The spiritual energies of the five elements dance to the tune of the Bard’s music. Using their virtuosic skills, Bards can harness these elements, weaving specific effects into their magical attacks. This symphony of tone and element is what makes the Bard’s Soulforce so notoriously powerful.

Harmony (Support): Bards can also manipulate the spiritual energy of the five elements and channel their Soulforce to heal the wounded or dispel evil spirits. Their magic can be used to protect their allies from harm by surrounding them in protective shields that mitigate damage or encasing them in ice to avoid fatal blows.

Summoner Class

A sacred priest with an irrevocable devotion to creation and an indomitable faith

Roles: Celestial Staff
Weapon: Ranged DPS & Support

Class Overview

Summoners live in harmony with nature. Their profound knowledge of the natural world makes them powerful allies, as they summon sprites to support them while unleashing ancient spells. Their celestial healing prayers often prove to be the difference between life and death. But Summoners are not limited to healing duties, being perfectly capable of inflicting serious damage in combat should the situation require. They can cast spells that grant them control over nature and the creatures of the wild. In ancient times, the great goddess Nüwa guided numerous clans into the underworld, where they founded Spiritopolis. Many more wanted to follow her, but she had other tasks in mind for them, and she ordered them to stay in the upper world. The Liao clan from Heavenly Ridge was one such group; they stayed in the upper world, where they continued to promulgate Nüwa’s benevolence. Heavenly Ridge, where they gathered, became the place of pilgrimage where the faith in Nüwa has flourished. Believers from around the world come to pay homage to the great goddess there. The priests of the Liao clan, who stay on the surface and welcome the faithful, are known as the Summoners.

Masteries

Summoners can conjure various spirits to aid them while they utilize spiritual energy to damage foes or support their allies in combat. Their minds working in union with nature, they can also summon a tiger companion which they can ride on their journeys.

Nature’s Wrath (Ranged DPS): Offering themselves as nature’s tools, Summoners use their innate ability to summon spirits to attack their opponents. Their powerful Soulforce allows them to channel their spiritual energies into a gleaming beam of light to smite down their foes. Whether it be the fox-like companion Mingshi, or Golden Feather, a creature that will briefly attract the attention of their enemies, Nature’s Wrath Summoners can adapt to various forms of combat.

Nuwa’s Blessing (Support): Channeling the flow of spiritual energy through their prayers of devotion, Nuwa’s Blessing Summoners can cast a range of effects to heal their teammates over time. The healing fairy Moluo can be summoned to further sustain their allies through challenging fights or commanded to use specific skills when in trouble.

Summoner

Spearmaster Class

A powerful warrior for whom honor is the highest virtue

Roles: Tank and Melee DPS
Weapon: Spears

Class Overview

There is no escaping a Spearmaster’s lightning-fast blows. Over years of hard training, they hone their skills to become highly formidable opponents on the field of battle. Cutting through enemy ranks with deadly precision and steel discipline, Spearmasters prove themselves as stalwart allies. In addition to their martial prowess on the field, they are also talented engineers, capable of constructing impressive machines to aid their cause in battle.

Background Story & Class Zone

The founder of the Spearmaster School, Yuejiang, rode a red tiger, and like Qingya, she was also a student of Lan Yaoqi. She believed that chaos in the world was caused by the incredible power struggle going on around them. She could not bear to see any more suffering on the part of ordinary people, who were repeatedly being robbed of their homes, so she decided to leave the Valley of a Hundred Grasses. To pacify the forces of chaos and establish her utopian kingdom, Yuejiang gathered a group of like-minded individuals and taught them her secret skills and martial arts. She trained them to become invincible masters, and soon there was no one who could oppose them. Due to their choice of weapon, they eventually became known as Spearmasters.

Masteries

Thanks to their ingenuity, manual dexterity, and knowledge of mechanics, Spearmasters have the power to summon special constructions which they and their allies can sell superfluous items to. This device can also repair damaged gear for a little gold while on adventures!

General (Melee DPS): Yuejiang, the movement’s founder, originally developed the Spearmaster’s special techniques. Spearmasters have an indomitable will, allowing them to keep a cool head in even the toughest of fights while making deadly use of their skills. They can use their spears to launch enemies into the air, incapacitating them while they land even more precision strikes.

Phalanx (Tank): With expert use of their armor, the Spearmaster becomes a living bulwark whose fighting spirit is utterly unswerving. Mountains crumble faster than these armored heroes, who are capable of dashing to their targets in an instant or pulling them forwards to direct their attention away from allies. The Phalanx can position themselves in front of their team to reduce incoming damage by summoning a shield wall.
