Final Fantasy Type-0 to get a download version

Square Enix have confirmed that their latest Final Fantasy release, Type-0 - previously known as Final Fantasy Agito XIII - will get a simultaneous digital launch allowing Japanese gamers to download the game direct from the PlayStation Network to their PSP machines.

The digital release will be priced at 6480 yen and will probably be a pretty sizable download to your machine as the UMD version of the game is so large it's been stretched to two discs.

If having physical copies are more your taste, there's ways to get that, too. With Final Fantasy: Type-0 still unannounced from the West despite being mere weeks from its October 27th Japanese release, more and more fans are looking into how they can preorder the game.

If you want one of those discs shipped over to you, Play-Asia has the Japanese and Asian versions of the game up for import preorder. They've also got a standard and special edition of the soundtrack available.
