Final Fantasy XVI's latest trailer is ready and coming soon

Updates on Final Fantasy XVI are seemingly like buses - you wait forever to one to come along, and then two come along at once. Just a week after revealing the development of FF16 was at its "finale", producer Naoki Yoshida has revealed that the highly-anticipated game's newest trailer is actually already complete - we just have to wait to see it.

The comments were made by Yoshida during a live stream showcasing a new collaboration between Final Fantasy XIV and mobile game Nier Reincarnation. Yoshida was hestitate to provide any information on FF16, but was questioned by Nier series producer Yosuke Saito.

"The trailer is already complete," Yoshida says of our next glimpse of FF16 in comments transcribed by Japanese blog GamesTalk, "But it was delayed for various reasons. I think it’ll come out soon."

As part of this discussion, Yoshida acknowledged that he'd promised fans another glimpse of FF16 in the 'Spring', and that now Spring is practically over. Presumably the 'various reasons' he alludes to are to blame for the wait.

In the same stream, Saito comments on having seen more of FF16, and notes how impressed he was with the game. Yoshida notes that the development team has put in "incredible effort" in response.

"From this point, we’re focusing on playing it through, polishing, debugging, and thoroughly optimizing, so I think we’re going to take a little longer," Yoshida added. "It’s already come together considerably. I feel like we should spend a little more time in that area."

Final Fantasy XVI currently doesn't have a release date - buit it's looking like it might soon. While you wait for those developments, why not brush up on FF16 so far?
