SKALD: Against the Black Priory highlights its retro RPG art style in a New Teaser Trailer

Developer Scape-IT AS and publisher Raw Fury shared a new look at SKALD: Against the Black Priory at the Guerilla Collective 3 event.

In its initial reveal, we mentioned that Skald is a retro RPG that takes inspiration from titles such as UltimaPools of Darkness, and other Gold Box RPGs from the late 80s to early 90s.

The new trailer continues to display the homage to the carefully crafted pixel art style of those classic RPGs. Several bits of gameplay are also shown off in the brief new trailer with a party of adventurers exploring an overworld map as the day marches on as the player moves. Some battles occur too, with a pixelated lightning spell zapping a foe and an encounter that takes place in some sort of crypt. A few event scenes highlight the incredible amount of detail put in the game's NPCs as well.

SKALD: Against the Black Priory is coming in late 2022 for PC (Steam, GOG).

Developer Scape-IT AS has revealed new gameplay from SKALD: Against the Black Priory in their latest teaser trailer. The new trailer showcases never-before-seen gameplay, highlights the new and improved visual effects in and out of combat, and reveals more about the world of SKALD. Every choice matters as the consequences of the players’ actions can have dire results!
