Fairytale Action RPG Ravenlok wanders into 2023 for the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC
Cococucumber announced fairytale action RPG Ravenlok for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (Epic). It was initially unveiled at the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase 2022 event and will also be coming to Xbox Game Pass on Day One.
Ravenlok is the developer's final game in its "Voxel Trilogy" that first started with Riverbond and Echo Generation. These games are not necessarily connected narratively, but are meant to encompass Cococucumber's projects exhibiting their signature 3D pixel art style.
Players take on the role of a young girl named Ravenlok. A magical mirror transports her into a land filled with darkness caused by the Caterpillar Queen. She must drive back the forces of evil through leveling up, learning new skills, and learning more about the unknown world around her by completing quests.
Its debut trailer makes a striking first impression with its voxel art direction across the environments, NPCs, and enemies that Ravenlok comes across. Skills that Ravenlok can learn all have differing values of damage, cooldown, range, area of effect, and any other miscellaneous unique effects they may possess.
