Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin adds the Pilgrim, Evoker, and Summoner Jobs in 'Trials of the Dragon King' DLC Expansion

Square Enix has provided further addtional information about the first DLC expansion for Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin. The new trailer provides a deeper look at the events depicted in its initial trailer at the end of June as Jack and his party discuss a mysterious deal with Bahamut, along with more footage of the visitors that Jack encounters at the very end of the story in the base game.

This new trailer for Trials of the Dragon King also details some of the new tools that players will get to fool around with. Staves are being added to the DLC expansion that can "extend to attack in wide swaths" that allow people to attack from stance with thrusts and upward strikes.

With the addition of Staves, three new jobs are being added to Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin - the Pilgrim, Evoker, and Summoner jobs.

Pilgrim

Seize foes using a staff that stretches and shrinks with the job action assault hook, and then leap to their position or draw them in to attack.

Evoker

With the job command evocation, call forth spirits that independently assail the enemy or execute special abilities on command.

Summoner

Summon Bahamut and control it to destroy your foes. The dragon king consumes max MP while summoned, but can unleash the devastating megaflare.

Trials of the Dragon King introduces a new equipment category with Accessories, allowing more loot to further customize Jack's playstyle as they can "confer special effects that weapons and armor cannot." One of the accessories shown in the trailer, Cactuar Needle, grants the enemy ability '1000 Needles' to the player just from equipping it and players can bind that enemy ability to a button combination in the combo abilities menu.

The Trials of the Dragon King DLC expansion for Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin launches on July 20 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (Epic).
