New Improved Wii Confirmed for Japan

Gamesindustry.biz reports that Nintendo have confirmed that the previously rumored Wii with DVD playback will be released in Japan sometime next year. There are currently no plans for the DVD-enabled Wii to be released outside of Nintendo's native Japan.
