Colorful action RPG Arto launches for PC on May 1

Freedom Games has announced a publishing agreement with OrionGames to release Arto for PC (Steam) on May 1.

Arto was originally planned to release last December, but a lost publisher and failed Kickstarter campaign delayed the launch. Arto has players gradually restoring color to a world without it. There are multiple endings based on a player's exploration routes, NPC interactions, and the fighting style they decide to utilize in combat.

A release date trailer and details can be found below, via Freedom Games and OrionGames.

We have lots of very exciting news!

First of all, we are proud to announce that Arto is now being published by Freedom Games.

For those of you who may not know, a game publisher can take care of a lot of the business and marketing side of releasing a game. That includes managing our store pages, marketing and advertising the game, helping showcase the game at both digital and live events, PR, and a lot more. Really it lets us totally focus on working to make the game the best it can be, and provides us with the resources to do so.
You may also be concerned about horror stories of publishers ruining the vision of a game or forcing arbitrary restrictions on the dev team. For Freedom, that can’t be further from the reality we have experienced with them. Freedom has been a great partner to us, only enhancing and supporting our vision. We were very careful when considering whether to go with a publisher or not, and selected Freedom because they are committed to our vision of the game, and only want to see it reach its full potential as we see it. We maintain complete creative and development freedom, and Freedom (heh) wouldn’t have it any other way!

Our second piece of news is: Arto will be releasing on May 1st on Steam!

Thank you all for your support so far! We wouldn’t have made it this far without it. And if this is your first time finding us, welcome!
