PlayStation Plus June 2023 Game Catalog gets Deus Ex, Rogue Legacy 2, Elex 2, and more

Sony announced the next additions to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for June 2023, as well as a new addition to the service's offering for Premium-tier subscribers.

To celebrate the first anniversary since the rollout of the tiered subscriptions, Sony also announced that it is testing a new feature for subscribers to the higher-end Premium tier of the service: Cloud streaming for select PS5 titles. At the moment cloud streaming is only available for classic titles from previous generation libraries. Once implemented, the game streaming option will apply to select PS5 games in the game catalog, game trials, and supported digital PS5 games owned by the players themselves. That means some players with broadband access can use the cloud streaming option to play PS5 games they own when away from their consoles using mobile devices or PC.

As for the games joining the game catalog (which is open to both Extra and Premium tiers), over 20 new titles are in the offing, with several of interest to RPG fans. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided continues the story of augmented agent Adam Jensen in the wake of the disastrous conclusion of Human Revolution. Elex II returns to the previous game's usual open world, with factions that use futuristic technology clashing against magic-using nations. The roguelite metroidvania-style Rogue Legacy 2 stretches the run-based structure across multiple generations of adventurers, while open-world shooter Far Cry 6 brings the familiar Far Cry formula to the Cuba-inspired nation of Yara.
