Baldur's Gate 3 is officially coming to Xbox Series X|S in 2023

Larian Studios has officially confirmed that their hit cRPG Baldur's Gate 3 will be coming to Xbox Series X|S some time in 2023. All of the game's features and improvements will remain intact with the Series X version. Meanwhile, the Series S version of Baldur's Gate 3 will not have split-screen coop, though everything else will remain unchanged features-wise asides from that. The Xbox Series X|S and Steam versions of Baldur's Gate 3 will support cross-save progression.

Swen Vincke, founder and CEO of Larian Studios, mentioned in a tweet that he met with Head of Xbox Phil Spencer to find a solution that will finally bring their latest RPG to Xbox. Thankfully, they both came to a satisfactory solution and Xbox players will get to see for themselves what makes this RPG so special.

Back in February, Larian Studios mentioned that Baldur's Gate 3 was in the works for Xbox, but they weren't ready to announce it due to the problems of getting split screen coop up and running on both Xbox Series systems. Eventually, as we all just learned, that feature is only going to be for the Series X release.
