Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition To Hit Stateside as Pokemon Conquest

Extremely Japanese centric Pokemon spinoff - Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition has just been confirmed for the United States by Nintendo of America and The Pokemon Company. The game developed by Tecmo Koei allows players to pair up their favorite Pokemon with fierce warriors from Japan's feudal era like Oda Nobunaga and Uesugi Kenshin

Just like all other Pokemon games you can play as both a boy or a girl and will be travelling across the map fighting other warlords. The game will have nearly 200 Pokemon although we're not sure if they're all playable. Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing was quoted as follows:

Pokémon fans are always interested in playing in new environments and experiencing new adventures, Pokémon Conquest gives them an entirely new way to enjoy this beloved series, with exciting new settings, fierce battles and nearly 200 Pokémon to team up with.

Pokemon Conquest will be arriving on the Nintendo DS on June 18th.
