Remnant II introduces the new Ritualist Archetype coming in The Awakened King DLC
Gearbox Publising and Gunfire Games have revealed the all-new Ritualist Archetype class coming in its first DLC, The Awakened King. They previously announced that The Awakened King is the first of three planned DLC offerings; it will be priced at $9.99 when it launches on November 14 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
The Ritualist focuses on status effects to decimate the opposition. With its Vile Prime Perk, it can inflict the Infected status ailent when it applies negative status effects; those that have been afflicted with Infected take 15% more Status Effect damage and spreads all the statuses it has to nearby enemies upon death.
Using Eruption allows the Ritualist to detonate foes aroudn them, all the while it deals bonus damage to those suffering from ongoing status effects. Miasma is a great way to inflict a handful of status ailments immediately as it applies bleeding, burning, overloaded, and corroded to all enemies within the Miasma's range.
One of the Ritualist's Archetype Skills, Deathwish, curses the Ritualist themselves. Applying it makes it so the Ritualist can no longer heal themselves and it drains health rapidly over 20 seconds. In exchange, the Ritualist increases all of its damage by 35% and 10% of the base damage dealt is lifesteal.

As a master of pain and suffering, the Ritualist is an excellent archetype to challenge The Awakened King. This new Archetype will be available in The Awakened King DLC for REMNANT II, launching on November 14 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The Ritualist leverages status effects to punish their foes. Here’s a list of some this new Archetype’s abilities:
- Their Prime Perk, “Vile”, makes enemies more susceptible to Status Damage and spreads their statues to nearby enemies upon death.
- Using “Eruption”, the Ritualist detonates nearby enemies and adds insult to injury by dealing bonus damage to those already suffering from Status Effects.
- To thin the herd, unleashing “Miasma” instantly applies Bleeding, Burning, Overloaded, and Corroded to all enemies within range.
- Lastly, “Deathwish” curses the Ritualist themselves. It forgoes standard healing and causes constant health drain but grants a heavy damage buff and substantial lifesteal.
REMNANT II: The Awakened King arrives on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on November 14, 2023 for $9.99. Fans can purchase the DLC Bundle for $24.99 on November 14 to get The Awakened King DLC and have access to the two additional packs once they are available sometime next year. Those who purchased the Ultimate Edition of REMNANT II will have access to the DLC at no additional cost.
