Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth details Turn-Based Battle Improvements, several new Jobs, and Party Members

RGG Studio and Sega have updated the official website of Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth that expands on numerous gameplay systems in the upcoming turn-based RPG. They've detailed numerous enhancements coming to the turn-based combat system that made its debut to the Yakuza / Like A Dragon franchise in Yakuza: Like A Dragon. Each party member's exclusive job is detailed, along with several new Jobs. Plus, a plethora of new screenshots.

If you've played the Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth demo in Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, you may have noticed some of these features already. Upon your turn in Infinite Wealth, you can now manually move a character's position around inside a designated circular zone granting finer control of what angle of approach you want to take.

Area-of-effect attacks have damage zone indicators, so positioning characters to angle these attacks to include as many enemies as possibile will be key to effectively using them. Some attacks may have knockback properties allowing players to use environmental hazards to their advantage.

One of the key elements being added to Infinite Wealth is a new Smackdown option that appears when battling enemies far weaker than your party. This'll immediately end the battle in exchange of yielding less experience, but this saves players time from manually having to duke it out to enemies they've already overleveled.

Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth releases on January 26, 2024 simultaneously worldwide for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (Steam).
