Guild Wars 2 pre-purchase now live!

Today is April 10th and you know what that means? It means Guild Wars 2 is officially available for pre-purchase. This is different from pre-ordering because you have to put down the entire cost of the game, however, there are some perks to it. You will have access to all the future beta events starting with the one for this month - a date will be specified soon by ArenaNet. In addition, you'll get a three-day headstart before the game launches and an in-game item that will boost your stats! Pretty nifty, eh?

Now before you get angsty, there are three versions that are available to you. The first is the standard edition at $59.99, which includes just the game. The second is the Digital Deluxe Edition for $79.99. It includes the game, an exclusive Elite Skill and other in-game goodies. However, if you really want the complete package then you want the Guild Wars 2 Collector's Edition for $149.99. It comes with everything included in the Digital Deluxe Edition along with a 10'' Rytlock figure, a hardcover artbook, a best-of soundtrack, art portfolio and five art prints, an art frame and a collector's tin box.

If you want to get the regular or the Digital Deluxe Edition then you can buy it from the ArenaNet store which is linked here! Or you can buy it on Amazon, Bestbuy or Gamestop. However, if you want the Collector's Edition then you're going to need to get it at Gamestop and Bestbuy. The Collector's Edition needs to be purchased in-store meaning you have to physically go into the store to pre-purchase it. Remember you have to put the entire cost of the game down or you won't get all of the goodies. Additionally, it won't be a code that's printed on the reciept that will give you access to the pre-purchase content, with the exception of Gamestop. The store MUST give you a physical box labeling your pre-purchase with a serial code inside. This serial code must be activated within five days.

Now, the good thing about the pre-purchase is that once you bought it, you're done - unless you bought the Collector's Edition; that needs to collected at the store once the game fully launches. Once the game goes live three days prior to the official launch date then you can just simply boot it up without having to leave home! Excited? I sure am! Stay tuned to for more Guild Wars 2 information in the future and I'll see you in Tyria!
