No Rest For The Wicked is a new isometric action RPG from Moon Studios

Moon Studios, developers of Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps, announced No Rest for the Wicked, a new action RPG for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S at the 2023 Game Awards. The game was first hinted at in 2020, and at the time had a 2022 expected release window.

The game will appear in Early Access on Steam in the first quarter of 2024, with a full release consoles and PC sometime after. A more detailed reveal is scheduled for March 1, 2024 via the "Wicked Inside" livestream event.

Check out the reveal trailer below:

No Rest for the Wicked features a painterly art style in its aesthetic, and uses 3D models to approximate a 2D effect in its cutscenes. The game tells the story of a kingdom drawn into chaos by passing of its king. The remote island of Sacra is also ravaged by a plague that twists the wildlife and the island's inhabitants into monsters.

Moon Studios co-founder Gennadiy Korol characterized No Rest for the Wicked as a "dream passion project" that the studio has worked on for the past six years. With it, the team intends to reveal their own take on the "core canons" of the action RPG to take the genre to the next level.

No Rest for the Wicked will also support multiplayer, where a player can share their world and progress with up to three friends.

No Rest for the Wicked is in development for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. It does not yet have a full release date, but is expected to enter Early Access on PC via Steam in Q1 2024.
