New FFXIII trailer before the new year?

After our news that Final Fantasy XIII is only 3% Complete from last week, we've now dug up another interesting nugget of information from Dengeki Playstation magazine over in Japan.

Speaking to the mag, Motomu Toriyama and Tetsuya Nomura talked about their plans for the upcoming title.

Nomura said that with Final Fantasy Versus XIII he intended to try to create more interesting battle scenes - reminscent of the building-jumping action depicted in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.

Nomura also spoke of a female lead for the spinoff title, but refused to give any details on her. The silver-haired lead to the game is the heir to the throne of his kingdom, which is under attack. Nomura also talked of how his eyes will turn red when he wields his sword.

Meanwhile, talking about the main Final Fantasy XIII game, Toriyama hinted that gamers may get another trailer that reveals new characters before the end of the year.
