Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty surpasses 5 million players

Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja have announced that Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has surpassed 5 million players. The number includes game sales and players on Xbox Game Pass.

For some context, in April 2023, Koei Tecmo announced that the game had sold 1 million units while reaching 3.8 million total players.

Today, Koei Tecmo Europe and developer Team Ninja are proud to announce that over 5 million players* worldwide have embarked on Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty’s dark fantasy journey. In addition, the Steam version of the base game and the DLC packs are available at a discounted price until 22nd March 2024.  Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition are available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via the Microsoft Store and Steam. A demo** of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition is available exclusively on Steam.

Originally released on 3rd March 2023, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has received numerous updates adding extra content with three DLC packs, content from collaborations with Nioh 2, Naraka: Bladepoint, and Lies of P, as well as patches improving the gameplay experience with balance adjustments and additional functions. Furthermore, since 7th February 2024, the dark fantasy action RPG is available in a Complete Edition version, which includes all Season Pass content, including new weapons, regions, demons, endgame content, and more.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition features everything included in the game’s three DLC packs - “Battle of Zhongyuan”, “Conqueror of Jiangdong” and “Upheaval in Jingxiang” - along with new endgame content, “The Thousand-Mile Journey”. This includes new characters from the armies of Cao Cao, Sun Ce, and Liu Bei, as well as new weapon types (cestus, long sword, and whip), new stages, new Divine Beasts, more challenging difficulty levels, and expanded functions. It also includes a collection of collaborative DLC content, featuring equipment and stages from collaborations with Nioh 2, Naraka: Bladepoint, and Lies of P.

In addition, three in-game items that were included in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty’s original release – “Baihu Armor”, “Zhuque Armor”, and “Qinglong Armor” – are now included in the Complete Edition, along with the in-game item “The Records of the Grand Historian”, which shows the location of the Marking Flags on the mini-map.
