If you didn't think Dragon's Dogma was going to have any sort of online mode, think again.
Capcom has just announced today the inclusion of a new mode, Ur-Dragon. While not a true online mode often found in most multiplayer games, this challenge presents players with something quite extraordinary.
Ur-Dragon is the name of an immensely powerful dragon that appears in the Everfall beneath Gran Soren. Players can compete with their Pawns in a leaderboard of sorts via PlayStation Network or Xbox Live in an effort to down the creature. Each party's attacks will be combined, but the Ur-Dragon's extreme strength ensures you'll have to fight it more than once. Deal the fatal blow and gain the top reward. The Ur-Dragon will also drop common and rare items for the remaining players.
Don't have an internet connection? No problem - you can still fight the Ur-Dragon but the rewards will be somewhat different.
The Ur-Dragon challenge will be available on launch day in North America on May 22 and across Europe on May 25.
