Wild Hearts S gets a new video showcasing the 4 player multiplayer with digital pre-orders now live (Update)

Koei Tecmo has released a new 14 minute long gameplay video for Wild Hearts S showcasing the 4 player multiplayer co-op which is new to this Switch 2 version with digital pre-orders now live (Update).

The video includes new gameplay with a look at how players setup multiplayer and more. While the narration during the video is in Japanese, the actual gameplay features the English version of the game across all the menus and interfaces. It also features English subtitles. Today, KOEI TECMO America and developer Omega Force began digital pre-orders for the upcoming fantasy hunting game, WILD HEARTS S on the Nintendo Switch 2 system, scheduled to release worldwide July 25, 2025. In addition, a four player co-op gameplay trailer with developer commentary has been revealed, which introduces the use of “Karakuri,” one of the main features of WILD HEARTS S, while also highlighting the thrill of hunting in teams.

In WILD HEARTS S, players must master ancient tech in order to hunt down giant beasts inside an imaginative world inspired by feudal Japan! The hunts have been enhanced on the Nintendo Switch™ 2 system, experiencing even deeper and more awesome adventures. For the first time, players will be able to hunt in a pack of up to four players in seamless co-op while crafting a wide variety of “Karakuri” (automation) to assist in the highly strategic hunting, crafting weapons to cut the giant monsters down to size! 

By weaving the threads of “Karakuri,” players can create a wide array of items, such as a crate or a glider. Items can then be combined in order to craft the likes of beast piercing blades and shields. Players can even transform the hunting ground by placing “Karakuri” like traps on the field. In addition, WILD HEARTS S features a variety of equipment, from common weapons including the “Nodachi” and “Bow” to the more unique “Karakuri Katana” and “Bladed Wagasa,” with each weapon boasting its own characteristics. By utilizing materials gathered from the hunts to craft new equipment, players can persist in the pursuit of beasts as the ongoing cycle of hunting and crafting enabling hunters to grow and refine their skills while the threat of giant, nature-infused beats continues to loom.
